Ballpark Memories

This past weekend, we all went down to support our local Baseball team, the York Revolution. It was our first game with the kids, and reminded me of why I love the sport so much.

Even though we only sat and watched two innings, the kids enjoyed every minute. The great thing about these Atlantic league games (Independent) is that every seat in the stadium is a good seat. You can see the field, the plays, and if you sit in the right section, have many opportunites for a foul ball. I almost yanked our son's hat off to catch one of my own. The kids clapped along with the stadium chants, and cheered for the inner-field game participants between innings.

We stopped to pet "Boomer" the team dog...

Then, it was off to Centerfield...and the Merry Go Round. I think we rode ten times, if not more. They jumped in the bounce houses and ran around the play yard.

We ended the day with a trip to Rita's for gelato, and the kids asked when we could go again. I am so proud!

One can never be too prepared

As I walked out of my office this afternoon, I noticed Katie and Conor stuffing their backpacks. When I inquired to what they were doing, Kate responded, "We are pretending to pack for Texas!".

Then, Conor came out of his room with this.

Perhaps I have over-exaggerated the need for clean underwear.

They call me Cinderelly

I found this letter in little Kate's backpack this morning, and had to laugh out loud. I am glad I am leaving a good (and clean) impression.

Cinderelly, Cinderelly
Night and day its cinderelly...

Make the fire, fix the breakfast

Wash the dishes, do the mopping

And the sweeping and the dusting

They always keep her hopping

She goes around in circles

Till she's very, very dizzy...

Still they hollar

Cinderelly, Cinderelly

I see it this way...I do land the Prince and get to live happily ever after!

April in Pictures

I just realized it has been exactly one month since my last post. I am a slacker. So, here is the quick skinny on our April activity.

We had a couple of visitors. Mom Mom came to visit us from Texas.

And the Easter Bunny left us a surprise (The jelly bean poop was a house favorite)!

We spent the day at Hershey's Chocolate World, and found our own little Chocolatier. She created a milk chocolate candy bar with pretzels, white and milk chocolate chips, and sprinkles on top. Hershey's chocolate makes me smile too.

Her brother chose a milk chocolate candy bar, and added pretzels, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles on top too.

Since it rained all but two days this month, the boys spent many days mowing the lawn.

We enjoyed our evening pajama parties with Mom Mom, reading books and playing barbies.

We baked cakes...

And sang Happy Birthday to two of our favorite Clark men.

Our own Buzz Lightyear even faught the forces of the evil Pollen allergies.

Here's hoping for May flowers, and just a few more posts this month.
